Privacy Policy

This policy explains how ShiftKaro ("ShiftKaro", "we") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use shiftkaro.in. We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law.

1. What we collect

• Enquiry details you give us: name, mobile number, optional email, pickup and drop area, moving date, home or load size, services needed and any notes. We ask for full addresses only when needed for a quote.
• Calculator inputs: move details you enter to get an estimate. The calculator does not ask for your name or phone number.
• Technical data: pages visited, the page where you submitted a form, campaign tags in the link you used (for example utm_source), and a one-way hashed form of your IP address used for spam and abuse prevention. We do not store your raw IP address with your enquiry.
• Click events: that a Call, WhatsApp or Get Quote button was clicked. We record the click — not whether a call connected or a message was delivered — and no personal details.

2. Why we use it

• To route your enquiry to relevant independent partner movers so they can contact you with quotes (based on your consent).
• To follow up on your enquiry, record its outcome and handle complaints.
• To prevent spam, fraud and abuse of our forms.
• To understand which pages help people (aggregate analytics, only if you allow analytics cookies).

3. Who we share it with

With your consent, we share your name, mobile number and move details with the one independent partner mover you choose. We do not send the same enquiry to several movers. Partners are independent businesses and must use your details only to respond to your enquiry. See the Lead-sharing Disclosure.

We also use service providers that host our website and database, or send email/WhatsApp notifications, under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data where required by law.

4. Analytics and cookies

We do not set advertising cookies. If analytics is enabled on this site, it loads only after you choose "Allow analytics", and we never send your name, phone number, email or address to analytics tools. Admin sign-in uses a strictly necessary session cookie.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months to handle follow-ups, complaints and records of consent, after which personal fields are deleted or anonymised. Spam submissions are removed sooner. Saved calculator estimates (which contain no contact details) expire after 30 days for display purposes.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent for future sharing, or nominate another person to exercise your rights. Withdrawing consent does not undo sharing that already happened, but we will ask partners who received your enquiry to stop using it. Contact us using the details below.

7. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls for staff, hashed passwords, rate limiting and logging that excludes personal details. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a personal data breach affecting you, we will notify you and authorities as required by law.
